In recognition of their achievements in commercial litigation, The Best Lawyers in America has selected Burford Perry partners Robert Burford and Matt Parks for the publication’s 2025 edition.

Robert’s and Matt’s Best Lawyers recognitions are a follow-up to the partners’ first awards announcement of the year: rankings by the prestigious Chambers USA for commercial litigation. In addition, the firm as a whole was recognized by the Chambers USA Regional Spotlight, which singles out the country’s leading law firms with fewer than 50 partners.

In the time between the latest Chambers and Best Lawyers announcements, the firm was determined by TopVerdict to have achieved one of the top 20 plaintiff's jury verdicts in Texas for 2023. Burford Perry also announced a significant win for their client in a complex property rights case where Texas’ Eighth Court of Appeals reversed a lower court decision that threatened to strip the client of a property valued at over $30 million.

Finally, Burford Perry won court approval of a $1.9 million arbitration award the firm secured on behalf of a midstream energy and logistics provider in a contract dispute where the other party sought over $25 million in damages but was awarded nothing.
